A Risk No One Saw
The next morning, Clara carefully drew a small sample of the prepared formula and sealed it inside a container.
She left the house like she always did.
No one noticed a thing.
That afternoon, she met her son, Adrian Delgado, who worked in a hospital laboratory.
“Please,” she said quietly. “I need you to test this.”
Adrian didn’t ask questions at first.
Hours later, he returned, his face pale.
“Mom… this isn’t normal formula,” he said carefully.
“There’s a compound in it. Something that suppresses appetite and causes sedation. For a baby… it’s extremely dangerous.”
Clara felt her chest tighten.
“Can you prove it?”
“Yes,” Adrian replied. “I can document everything.”
He hesitated.
“Should we report it?”
Clara shook her head slowly.
“Not yet. His father needs to hear this first.”
