Regret, Apologies, and Tears
When Samantha stood up, exhausted and trembling, the cabin fell silent. The same passengers who had sneered at her, mocked her, and demanded she be removed now looked at her with awe—and guilt.
One woman who had complained about Samantha’s presence sobbed uncontrollably. “I’m so sorry,” she whispered. “I was so wrong about you.”
The businessman who had demanded a refund approached her with tears in his eyes. “You saved my colleague’s life,” he said. “I don’t deserve to even look you in the eye.”
Even the captain came out to thank her personally. “You’re a hero,” he said. “We owe you everything.”
Samantha didn’t respond with anger or resentment. She simply smiled. “I was just doing my job—the job I’ve always loved.”
