This Woman Had the Perfect Response After Being Shamed for Her Loose Skin

Jacqueline Adan from America has faced challenges with her weight for a long time. At one point, she tipped the scales at over 500 pounds (220 kg).

She was able to improve her diet and begin working out.

She has now shed over 350 pounds (150 kg), which is an amazing achievement!

When you lose weight really fast, your skin doesn’t just tighten up to fit your smaller body; it can actually get saggy. That’s what happened to Jacqueline. As she shed the pounds, her skin started to hang more and more.

At first, Jacqueline felt self-conscious about the extra skin on her body, especially on her legs. However, she made up her mind not to let it stop her from enjoying life, so she continued to live just like before.

After shedding a lot of pounds, Jacqueline was finally confident enough to wear a swimsuit on vacation for the first time in ages.

When Jacqueline arrived at the hotel pool, she unexpectedly encountered some bullies. A pair of people lounging by the pool began to laugh at her legs and point at her.

Jacqueline shared an inspiring post on Instagram after the event, featuring some close-up shots of her legs. She wrote, “What other people think doesn’t matter. That’s totally fine. Embrace your body.”

Her post got over 30,000 likes and a bunch of supportive comments in no time at all.

I really wish Jacqueline’s bullies would see this because it would make them stop and understand how bad their actions were. Check this out!

A few weeks ago, when we went on vacation in Mexico, it was the first time in ages that I put on a bathing suit, and it had been even longer since I wore one without a cover-up.

I felt really anxious about taking off my cover-up and stepping into the pool or walking on the beach. I still saw myself as that same 500-pound girl… and then, something changed.

As soon as I took off my cover-up, I noticed a couple by the pool laughing and pointing at me, making jokes at my expense.

I paused for a moment, took a big breath, smiled, and stepped into the pool. It felt like a really important moment for me. I had transformed.

I’ve changed a lot since then. Sure, I still have some loose skin, and there are moments when I feel unsure about myself. Plus, I still face teasing sometimes.

Honestly, it did bother me a bit. But I decided I wouldn’t let people like that get to me anymore!

I won’t let other people’s opinions hold me back from enjoying my life.

People don’t really understand me. They have no idea how hard I’ve worked to drop 350 pounds. They don’t see the struggles I’ve faced while recovering from big surgeries.

It’s not fair for them to just sit there and make fun of me. That’s why I decided to smile.

It doesn’t really matter what people think or if they try to make you feel bad or question your abilities.

Jaqueline is still on the way of transformation and searching for the best for her.

What really counts is how you respond to things. It’s all about your feelings towards yourself. It can be tough to love yourself just the way you are.

Some people may not agree with that, and that’s totally fine. I really hope you appreciate yourself. Embrace your body. Just keep being yourself and remember to smile!

Strong, wise words from a strong and wise woman! Share if you agree!
