They Prayed for One Baby—But Fate Sent Them Two, Bound for Life

A Test of Their Bond

When the girls were around seven months old, a flu wave swept through town. Ava caught a mild fever, leaving her weak and restless. She fussed endlessly until Amara was placed beside her. Almost instantly, Ava calmed down, her little hand reaching for her sister’s.

Emma watched in amazement. “She doesn’t want medicine, she just wants Amara.”

For three days, Amara rarely left her sister’s side, even curling against her in the crib as if offering warmth. When Ava recovered, the first thing she did was giggle at Amara, who giggled back.

It was then that Emma realized their connection wasn’t just adorable—it was healing.
