My Mother-In-Law is Getting Married at 70

On a sunny autumn afternoon, as golden rays streamed through the window, Anna received a photo from her mother-in-law. The picture showed her wearing a pristine white wedding dress and a radiant smile on her face. Anna couldn’t believe her eyes.

Her 70-year-old mother-in-law was sent to a nursing home and found a man there who was throwing a wedding.

“How ridiculous!” Anna thought to herself. “She should know that at her age, organizing a wedding is just a joke.” Anna felt embarrassed and worried for her mother-in-law. She couldn’t understand why she would want to spend money and time on such an event when she could do so many other things for her grandchildren.

When Anna shared the photo with her husband, he just laughed and said, “Mom has lived her whole life, and now she just wants to be happy. Why shouldn’t we support her?” His words made Anna pause and think. Perhaps she sought joy and love in her later years, something everyone deserves.

The wedding day approached, and Anna decided to attend. As she walked into the hall, she saw her mother-in-law standing in the center, glowing like a young bride. Friends from the nursing home surrounded her, celebrating together. Anna felt the joyful atmosphere spreading everywhere.

In the end, Anna realized that love knows no age, and everyone has the right to seek happiness. She smiled, blessed her mother-in-law, and felt proud to see her fully embracing every moment of life.
