My five-year-old exposed the woman secretly visiting our bedroom—then I saw my missing sapphire necklace around her neck and realized my husband’s betrayal went far deeper.

PART 2

Throughout dinner, I methodically sliced into my chicken, keeping my eyes anchored to the porcelain plate, forcing my pulse into a cold, calculated rhythm.

“The most peculiar incident occurred at the grocery store today,” I remarked nonchalantly. “Leo spotted a young blonde in a sundress and insisted she’s the exact person who hangs out in our bedroom whenever I’m on hospital duty.”

Lifting my chin, I locked my gaze squarely with my husband’s. “Kids truly have limitless imaginations, don’t they?”

Julian didn’t drop his silverware. His complexion never paled, and his pupils never flinched. Instead, a deep, resonant chuckle escaped his chest—an easy, jovial laugh so profoundly organic that it sent chills straight down my spine. He shook his head fondly, offering our son a doting grin.

I stared at the hand clutching mine. A man capable of engineering such a seamless deception on the fly, weaponizing the innocence of his own five-year-old to conceal treacherous betrayal, was completely unworthy of a simple divorce.

“I love you too, Julian,” I whispered back, flashing a picture-perfect smile.

Later that night, while Julian was cheerfully humming under the steam of the shower, I quietly booted up my laptop. I didn’t browse family law firms. I placed a priority overnight order for four high-end, 4K hidden surveillance micro-cameras. The total destruction of his double life had officially begun…
