In one of the most luxurious restaurants in the city, the usual atmosphere of such places filled the space: soft live music, the clinking of glasses, quiet conversations. Snow-white tablecloths, expensive tableware, soft lighting — everything looked flawless. At one of the central tables sat the sheikh with his business partners. They discussed deals, laughed, and occasionally spoke in low voices, but it was clear that he was the one in charge. At one point, a waitress approached their table. A young woman with neatly tied hair, a calm gaze, and a confident posture. She politely stopped beside them and, slightly leaning forward, asked:

— Have you already decided what to order?

The sheikh didn’t even look at her right away. He paused, as if deliberately making her wait, then slowly raised his eyes and smirked.

— No one called you, — he said with obvious sarcasm. — But since you’re here, write it all down on your little piece of paper so you don’t mix it up later. I know people like you.

Someone at the table chuckled quietly. The atmosphere immediately grew tense, but the woman didn’t change her expression. Calmly, she opened her notepad and began writing. The sheikh, feeling supported, continued: — I hope you at least know numbers. Or do I have to explain everything on my fingers? Although… — he looked her up and down, — how could you possibly understand what we’re ordering. The partners exchanged glances. Some looked away awkwardly, but no one intervened. The waitress continued writing silently, without interrupting and without showing any emotion. When she finished, she carefully closed her notepad and was about to leave when the sheikh, thinking she wouldn’t understand anything, turned to his partners and, in Arabic, with a mocking smile, made an insulting remark. He called her a degrading word and added that a girl like her would be perfect for his harem and could serve him for the rest of her life. A quiet laugh spread across the table. The sheikh thought he was dealing with a foolish girl, but what the waitress did left everyone stunned. The continuation of the story can be found in the first comment

The waitress stopped. She slowly turned back toward the table. For a few seconds, she simply looked at him, and then, in clear and confident Arabic, she said:

— Just because I work as a waitress doesn’t mean I’m uneducated or that I don’t understand anything. Your words are offensive. I’ve long been used to people with money thinking they’re allowed to do anything. But I am not an object. I have a family, a husband, and children. And I certainly will not become your servant.

The restaurant became so quiet that you could even hear someone drop a fork at a nearby table. The young woman paused briefly and added calmly:

— Your order will be ready in fifteen minutes.

She turned and walked away with the same confidence, without looking back. A heavy silence fell over the table. The partners were no longer smiling. Some lowered their eyes, others pretended to be busy with their phones. And the sheikh sat there, watching her walk away, and for the first time that evening, he didn’t know what to say. He was still trying to process how a simple waitress had just put him in his place in front of everyone.
