Wolves Block the Train
On a frozen morning, the train driver followed his usual route, everything quiet and ordinary—until suddenly, he saw something impossible.
A pack of wolves stood across the tracks, unmoving. They didn’t scatter. They didn’t flee back into the trees. Instead, they held their ground, their glowing eyes fixed on the train, their howls slicing through the cold air.
Shaken, the driver slammed the brakes. Metal screamed against ice, sparks flying, the train sliding dangerously close. But even then, the wolves refused to move. They braced themselves, as if determined to stop the steel beast.

The Hidden Truth
At first, the driver thought they had gone mad, or perhaps hunger had driven them to recklessness. But then, peering harder through the snow, he saw what they were truly protecting.
Something lay ahead on the rails—something human.
The Man in White
A man dressed in white was sprawled motionless across the tracks.
The driver leapt from the cabin, the icy air cutting his lungs. To his shock, the wolves didn’t attack. Instead, they shifted aside, almost respectfully, giving him space to reach the fallen man.
Kneeling down, he pressed his fingers to the stranger’s neck. A faint pulse—alive, but fading. The man stirred weakly, his lips trembling, and whispered:
— “They… saved me…”
What Had Happened
The truth emerged: the man had been attacked and left on the tracks, abandoned to die.
But the wolves had sensed his peril. They had circled him, forming a shield, refusing to budge until help arrived.
The driver radioed for emergency assistance. Stripping off his own jacket, he covered the man, trying to keep him alive. The wolves lingered close, their golden eyes never leaving the scene.

A Silent Farewell
When rescuers finally arrived and lifted the man to safety, the wolves quietly turned back toward the forest.
Without a sound, they melted into the trees, their task complete, leaving behind only paw prints in the snow—and a story the driver would never forget.
