A millionaire told his son to choose a new mother from five wealthy women… but the boy chose the poor cleaning lady!

At eight o’clock in the morning, Emily Carter was polishing the glass coffee table in the living room when she noticed five luxury cars stopping at the gate. After four months working at the Harrington estate, she knew instantly—this day was different.

Upstairs, Michael Harrington gestured toward the window for his eight-year-old son, Noah.

“Son, the five women we talked about are here. They’ll be staying with us for thirty days.”

Noah watched as the elegant women stepped out of their cars.

“And at the end, I have to choose one to be my new mom, right, Dad?”

“That’s right. They’re all highly educated and come from influential families. I’m sure you’ll like them.”

“And if I don’t like any?”

“You will. They can give you an excellent education and take you all over the world.”

Suddenly, the sound of glass shattering rang through the house, followed by an angry voice.

“Useless maid! You broke my expensive glass!”

Michael and Noah exchanged alarmed looks.

“What was that?” Noah asked.

“I don’t know. Let’s see,” Michael replied.

They rushed downstairs and found Emily kneeling on the floor, carefully collecting broken crystal, blood seeping from her finger. A tall brunette stood over her with crossed arms.

“That glass was imported crystal. It costs more than she makes in a year.”

“It was an accident,” Emily murmured, her eyes downcast.

“An accident?” the woman scoffed. “People like you shouldn’t be handling valuable things.”

“Excuse me,” Michael said sharply. “What’s going on here?”

The brunette turned with a flawless smile. “Michael, I’m Vanessa Montgomery. I just arrived, and your maid shattered my glass.”

The other four women moved closer, watching Emily from above.

“Well, this is uncomfortable,” a slender blonde said.

“I’m Olivia Prescott,” she added coolly.

“Accidents happen,” Michael said, trying to defuse the tension.

“They happen with unpolished people,” Olivia replied, staring at Emily. “Classy people know better.”

Noah slipped past his father and ran to Emily’s side.

“Em, are you hurt?”

Emily looked up, managing a small smile.
“It’s nothing, sweetheart. Just a scratch.”

Vanessa’s eyes narrowed. “That’s a strange level of familiarity.”

Michael stepped in. “Since everyone is here, let’s clarify. This is Emily—our employee. And you are the candidates.”

The women introduced themselves with pride: Vanessa, from an old New York family; Olivia, a model and influencer who had lived in Paris; Katherine Reynolds, a corporate lawyer; Dr. Melissa Grant, a dermatologist with her own clinic; and Laura Bennett, an architect.

Through it all, they treated Emily as if she were invisible.

“You’ll all be staying here for thirty days,” Michael said. “At the end, Noah will decide who he wants me to marry.”

“And the maid?” Vanessa asked.

“She stays,” Michael replied. “Emily has worked here for months.”

Olivia glanced at Katherine. “We just hope she understands her place.”

Noah grabbed Emily’s hand. “Em, come see the drawing I made.”

“She needs to clean up her mess first,” Melissa snapped.

“It’s okay,” Emily said gently. “I’ll come later.”

Vanessa watched the exchange carefully. “Interesting.”

That afternoon, the five women gathered on the patio, comparing gifts—tablets, luxury trips, elite schools, redesigned bedrooms.

Noah appeared, thanked them politely, but showed little excitement.

Then Emily arrived carrying juice and cinnamon cookies.

Noah’s face immediately lit up.

“You made these?”

“I did. And I brought origami paper too.”

The women watched in silence as Noah’s happiness was undeniable.

That evening, they gathered again.

“This whole situation with the maid is unacceptable,” Vanessa murmured.

“He’s far too attached,” Laura agreed.

“It’s inappropriate,” Katherine said coldly.

“He needs to understand hierarchy,” Melissa added.

“And she needs to be put in her place,” Vanessa concluded.

Meanwhile, Michael couldn’t ignore the change in his son. Noah laughed again. He ate again. He seemed alive again.

Later that night, Noah showed his father an origami bird.

“She’s patient,” he said. “She never yells.”

“Did you like the ladies?” Michael asked gently.

“They’re nice… but Emily’s better.”

“Why?”

“She’s real.”

Noah hesitated. “Are you going to fire her?”

“No,” Michael said firmly. “She’s staying.”

The harassment began days later—deliberate messes, missing supplies, blame quietly redirected toward Emily. Michael installed hidden cameras.

What he saw made his blood boil.

When Noah tried to defend her, Vanessa leaned down and threatened him.

“If you keep choosing her, you’ll be forced to choose.”

“I already did,” Noah said calmly. “I choose Emily.”

Michael soon uncovered forged complaints and fake internal reports—all orchestrated by Vanessa.

At the final gathering, certain they had won, the women bragged freely—unaware they were being recorded.

Michael played the footage for everyone to see.

The truth shattered the room.

“These women tried to destroy a kind woman simply because my son cared for her,” Michael said.

“I want Emily to be my mom,” Noah said softly.

Michael turned to Emily and proposed—right there, in front of everyone.

Through tears, she said yes.

The women left in disgrace.

Months later, Michael and Emily were married in a simple ceremony. Noah called her “Mom.”

Later, their daughter was born.

Looking back, Emily said quietly, “Every hardship brought me here.”

And together, they proved that love isn’t defined by wealth or status—but by kindness, honesty, and courage.
