Learning to Truly Hear
Evan slowly began to trust sound again.
And Grant learned something even more important.
How to truly be present.
He sat with his son. Played with him. Listened.
Months later, Evan stood on a small stage, playing music.
Grant watched, his eyes filled with emotion.
His son had never been broken.
He had only needed someone to understand him.
When the performance ended, Evan smiled.
“Dad!”
Grant stood, applauding louder than anyone else.
