Easily remove pumpkin seeds

 

  1. Cutting the Pumpkin:

    • Start by cutting a hole around the stem at the top of the pumpkin to create a lid.
    • Remove the lid and set it aside.
  2. Scooping Out the Seeds:

    • Use a large spoon or an ice cream scoop to scrape out the seeds and pulp from the pumpkin's interior.
    • Hold the pumpkin at a slight angle to make it easier to access the seeds.
  3. Separating Seeds from Pulp:

    • Once you've scooped out most of the seeds and pulp, place them in a large bowl.
    • Separate the seeds from the pulp. You can do this by hand or by placing the seeds and pulp in a colander and rinsing under cold water.
  4. Rinsing the Seeds:

    • Rinse the seeds under cold water to remove any remaining pulp. Swirl them around in the water, and use your fingers to help separate the seeds from any clinging pulp.
  5. Drying the Seeds:

    • Pat the seeds dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Ensure they are thoroughly dry to promote crispiness when roasted.

Now, your pumpkin seeds are ready for seasoning and roasting. You can toss them with olive oil, salt, and your favorite seasonings before spreading them out on a baking sheet and roasting in the oven until golden brown. Enjoy the roasted pumpkin seeds as a tasty snack!
